With great sadness we announce the passing of Dr. Nicholas Smithers on Tuesday 21st April 2026 in Garden House Hospice after a courageous battle against ALK+ lung cancer
Nick was the beloved husband of Mel, devoted father to Em, Ollie, Vicky and Maddie and Grandpa to Jasper and Rubén. He wil be greatly missed by all including his brother Tim, sister in law Helen and brother and sister in laws Matt and Jo and his nieces and nephews
A funeral service will be held at St Andrews Church Biggleswade on 20th May 2026 at 2pm followed by a private cremation service for close family. A reception will be held at Shuttleworth House after the funeral service in celebration of Nick.
We kindly request no flowers but please send donations in Nick's memory to Garden House Hospice, Letchworth
