In Loving Memory of Linda Ann Cavaye Atherton
It is with heavy hearts that we share the sad news that our dearly loved Mum passed away peacefully with Gemma and Laura at her side, at the age of 76—just one day before her 77th birthday.
Predeceased by her cherished husband Pete, Lin was a loving and devoted Mum to Gemma and Laura. She was a proud Nanna to Reuben and Willow, and thought the world of her son-in-law Oliver. Lin was a dear sister to Richard, Jeannette, Graham, Kevin, and Kim, and a sister-in-law to their partners, as well as to Vickey and Phil. She was a much-loved auntie and great-auntie, and a loyal, kind-hearted friend to so many.
Lin had a warmth and kindness that touched everyone who knew her. Her compassion, loyalty, and love for her family and friends made her someone truly special. She was deeply loved—and will be missed more than we can put into words.
We would be honoured if you would join us to celebrate Lin’s life at her funeral, which will be held at St Augustine’s Church in Broxbourne on Wednesday 21st May at 1pm. Please feel free to dress as you wish—smart, yet comfortable. There will be a live stream of the service available for those who can’t be with us in person; just let Gemma or Laura know if you’d like the link.
After the service, there will be a private family committal at Enfield Crematorium, which is by invitation only. However, we’d love for everyone to join us at the wake afterwards to share memories, stories, and a drink to celebrate Lin’s life. Details for the reception are below. We kindly ask that you remain at the reception until our arrival so that we can greet you personally.
