KATHLEEN PARR (nee Morgan)
January 17, 1937 - December 22, 2025
Following a brief illness & surrounded by love, Kathleen passed away peacefully at Aden Mount Care home Huddersfield.
Kathleen was born the youngest of four girls to John and Annie Morgan of Grove Street Huddersfield.
Educated at St Joseph's catholic grammar school for girls in Bradford, she began working as a junior secretary at Edward Haigh wool merchants, rising to the position of chairman’s personal secretary after ten years.
She met her beloved husband of sixty years David Parr at a town hall dance in 1960. They married in 1961 and raised three children, Simon, Louise and Timothy. Kathleen adored her husband, children and family. She was a woman of high intelligence, with a sharp wit and a remarkable capability for cryptic crosswords & puzzles.
Kathleen is survived by her three children, Simon Parr, Louise Harris, Timothy Parr, and seven grandchildren, Benjamin, James, Gillian, Charlotte, Sophie, Thomas, and Sebastian and her great grandson Ronnie.
She is preceded in death by her parents John & Annie Morgan, husband David Parr, sisters Mary Breslin, Margaret Jones, and Carmel Pickup.
A requiem mass will be given at English Martyrs RC church - 11:45am on Wednesday 21st January followed by a 1.15 pm cremation service at Huddersfield crematorium.
