It is with great sadness that the family of Rose Jones announce that following a short illness, Rose peacefully passed away on December 22nd 2025, surrounded by her family.
Born on 20th October 1944 in Malta, Rose became so many things to so many people. A devoted wife to her late husband, Gwyn, a wonderful, caring and loving Mum to Adrian and Natalie, as well as Nana to Samantha, Troy, Rhys, Michael and Emily and Great Nana to Belle and Amelie. She was also a wonderful sister, Auntie and friend to so many.
Rose taught us how to love unconditionally and loved nothing more than spending time with her family and friends, cooking and baking for them, her lemon meringue pie, savoury pies and Yorkshire puddings were legendary.
Rose touched the lives of many who will remember her in their own special way. A funeral service will be held on 23rd January 2026 at 10:45 at Norse Road Crematorium, Bedford. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Cystic Fibrosis Trust, a charity close to the heart of Rose and her family. Following the service, Adrian and Natalie warmly invite you to celebrate her life at The Victory Suite, Roundabout Club in Sandy where there will be food and refreshments. There will be some photo boards if anyone has any treasured photos they would like to share.
