It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected and sudden passing of Darren Paul Downie. Darren sadly passed away at Ipswich Hospital on February 23rd aged 53 years. He is dearly loved and sadly missed by all his family, friends and support workers.
A service to celebrate his life will be held as detailed below on Friday March 22nd at Lowestoft Cemetery Chapel at 1:00pm following which he will be laid to rest in the cemetery with his late mother, Nora.
Darren's service is very much a celebration of his life and his love of Liverpool FC. If you feel able, please wear a touch of Red or a Liverpool shirt if you have one.
During his service there will be an opportunity to both complete memory cards to leave for his granddaughter and also a chance to come up and write a message on his coffin.
Flowers are welcome and should be delivered to the funeral directors by no later than 10am on the day of the funeral, or the afternoon of the day before.
Alternatively donations in Darren's memory will benefit Nelson's Journey which may be gifted using the 'make a donation' button on this page, there will also be a collection box present at the chapel for cash donations, thank you.
Jordan wishes to thank everyone for their kind messages of condolence, support and sympathy at this difficult time.
