It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Wasyl Pidlyskyj, a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished grandad, who peacefully departed this world on July 23, 2024, at the age of 65.

Wasyl was born on September 29 1958, and lived a life filled with love, laughter, and dedication to his family and friends. He was the beloved husband of Julie, his partner and best friend for over 45 years. Together, they built a home filled with warmth, compassion, and unwavering support.

As a father, Wasyl’s guidance, wisdom, and unconditional love shaped the lives of his children, Michael, Natalie and Nicole. His gentle spirit and kind heart left an indelible mark on their hearts and will continue to guide them in their own journeys.

Wasyl’s greatest joy came from being a grandad to his seven grandchildren. He was their biggest cheerleader, always present with a smile, a play, or a hug. His playful spirit and endless patience created memories that will be cherished forever.

Throughout his life, Wasyl exemplified the values of hard work, integrity, and generosity. He was a friend to many and a pillar of his community. His legacy of kindness and compassion will live on in all who were fortunate to know him.

A celebration of Wasyl’s life will be held on August 13, 2024, at 1:45 PM at Mytton Fold, where we will gather to remember and honor the remarkable man he was.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made in Wasyl's memory to Motor Neurone Disease Association, to help fund more research into the disease that took his life.

Wasyl's love, laughter, and light will forever remain in our hearts. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
