It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Roy Priday, who passed away peacefully at University Hospital of Llandough on Thursday 23rd July 2026, aged 81 years.
A devoted and much-loved husband of Shelagh, a loving father of Darren and Ian, and a cherished father-in-law of Samantha.
Roy was a proud and devoted Grampy to Jordan, Jake, Ieuan, Meghan and Heidi, and an adored Great-Grampy to Aurora, Eliana and Truly. He was also a much-loved brother, brother-in-law and uncle who will be greatly missed by his wider family and many friends.
Roy was devoted to his family, who meant the world to him, and he took great pride in watching his family grow through the generations. A lifelong West Ham United, Cardiff Blues / Wales Rugby and Glamorgan cricket supporter, Roy always loved playing and watching these and many other sports. He was a familiar face in many sports venues, as a player and latterly a supporter of his sons and grandchildren.
Roy will be remembered with love and affection by all who knew him, and his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. The family kindly invite everyone attending Roy's funeral to wear casual, comfortable clothing.
