Brian passed away on 24th April, aged 78 years, following a short illness.

Born on 26th October 1947 to the late Enid & Raymond. 

 
Brian, devoted husband of Linda, beloved dad of Joanna & Dawn, father in law of Darren and Iain. Adored grandad of Evie, Grace and Jay. He loved spending time with family including John, Margaret, Debra and Steve and all his nieces and nephews.

He worked at The Northern Echo for over 20 years after serving his apprenticeship.

Brian loved sport, especially football and squash. He had a passion for running, finishing 25th in the 1981 Great North Run, 70th in the 1982 race and 132nd in the 1984 London Marathon. In later years he enjoyed spending time at the gym.

He will be greatly missed and loved forever.
