It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Susan Mary Relf, known to many as "Big Sue," on May 24, 2024. Born in 1946 to Oliver Albert Wernham and Mary Emily Rachel Englefield, Susan grew up in Wokingham, cherishing her time on her aunt and uncle's farm.
Susan built a successful career in accounting at the "No Sags" spring company and later at Hoover Universal, where she met her first husband, Richard. Together, they welcomed their children, David and Pamela, and created a loving home in Ashingdon.
Susan was known for her generous spirit, community involvement, and legendary Sunday roasts. In 2007, she married Tony Relf, and they enjoyed many wonderful travels together.
Despite her health battles, Susan remained a source of strength and love for her family. She passed away peacefully at Fair Havens Hospice, surrounded by her loved ones and listening to her favorite song.
Susan leaves behind her husband Tony, her children David and Pamela, and her beloved grandchildren. Her life was a testament to love, kindness, and resilience. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Rest in peace, Susan.
