Maureen sadly passed away on the 25th of April aged 86 at Chorley Hospital following a short illness which was borne with fortitude and stoicism. She was the cherished and much loved Mum to Russell and Simon, Grandma, Great Grandma, Aunt, Great Aunt and Great-Great Aunt and a good friend to many. She was the only daughter of Joseph and Daisy Connolly and was also pre-deceased by her brothers, Tony, Ronnie and Terry.
She lived in Blackburn all her life, but for the latter part was a resident of "The Beeches" care home in Coppull, Lancashire where she made many friends with both staff and residents and was cared for and looked after with compassion and dignity until the end. She suffered greatly with dementia and that is why the family are asking for a donation to be made to Dementa UK in lieu of flowers.
Maureens' funeral will be held at Pleasington Crematorium on Friday, 16th May at 2.00pm and an open invitation is extended to all who knew her.
