It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Mike on Thursday 25th September at the Royal Cornwall Hospital, aged 90.
Beloved husband to his late Michelle, wife of 50 years.
Dad to Corinne and Christopher.
Father in law to Claude.
Grandad to Emma, Alexia and Heloise.
Active until very recently and always with an inquisitive mind. Cabinet maker, teacher of woodwork, metalwork and engineering drawing. Photographer.
Eternal student of the two world wars and of current world affairs. Admirer of motorcycles, cars and all fine engineering. Builder and pilot of model planes, trains and boats. Aspiring cook !
Foot tapper while under the influence of Jazz.
Much travelled including of the self propelled variety but always happiest back in Newlyn with a view of Mounts Bay.
Appreciated for his genial character, approachability, his anecdotes and story telling and for being an all around fine fellow !
No flowers please, however donations would be graciously accepted (if desired) towards Motor Neurone Disease in memory of Mum's 4 year illness. (The link is available below).
