It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bertram Arthur Yeandle on Monday 25th November, aged 103 years, at Horfield Lodge in Bristol where he had been cared for since November 2022. Bert (Uncle George to some relatives) moved to Filton with Lilian, his wife, in 1952, following 15 years' service in the RAF and a happy childhood in North Petherton in Somerset with his parents and older brother. Widowed in 2006 following Lilian's death, Bert was supported by wonderful friends and loving family members who helped him enjoy a happy and active old age. He is survived by his three children, David, Sue and Pauline, and four grandsons, Robert, Paul, John and Andrew, and their partners. He will be sadly missed by them all and by his many kind and dear friends.
