James Stuart Leah
28th April 1950 – 26th February 2026

Stuart Leah, age 75, of Falmouth, Cornwall died at Royal Cornwall Hospital Treliske from lung and kidney failure (caused by vasculitis) on 26th February 2026, following a short illness.

Born James Stuart Leah in Stretford, Manchester in 1950 to Bertha and Ronald, he and his family relocated to Cornwall in his early teenage years.

After attending school in St Austell, he joined the Army Junior Leaders (where he became known by his middle name Stuart – the name that he used for the rest of his life) and subsequently joined the Light Infantry, travelling all over the world in his 28 years of service.

Following his Army career, Stuart ran a pet food supplies company, serving the Falmouth area until his retirement in 2003.

He became a member of the Caravan and Motorhome Club in 1986, Devon and Cornwall Centre and ran rallies for them for many years.  For 23 years he was a member of The Camping and Caravaning Centre, Cornwall BCC, where he held the position of Treasurer for 13 years. He and his wife Wendy ran weekend rallies and temporary holiday sites in Cornwall until October 2025.

He will be sorely missed and is survived by his wife Wendy, son Robin and grandson Alexander.
