Mr Alan Barry Chambers

17th January 1946 - 26th September 2025

Family flowers only please

Alan Barry Chambers, beloved husband of Diane and much loved father of Alan, passed away peacefully on 26th September 2025. He was born in Redditch to Mary and Edward on 17th January 1946, the youngest of three children.

Alan was a very talented aeronautical engineer, having helped design the Boeing 777 in Seattle, the Airbus A380 in Munich and Hamburg, and the RAF Augusta Westland AW159 Wildcat helicopter in Yoevil.

One of the greatest ever Aston Villa FC fans, he was listed in the top 2000 fans of all time when the club released a video marking the turn of the new millenium and the year 2000. His name was eternally etched on the AV150 wall at Villa Park in May 2025.

A lovely, gentle, funny and loyal man who loved his family and friends and would do anything for them, he will be very deeply missed by everyone that knew him.
