Mrs Hazel Theys passed away at the Laurels Care Home, in Wickford, on 26th November 2025. She was 93. Hazel moved to the Laurels just after Easter this year. We felt that the staff really cared for her while she was living there and her family were able to be with her during her last days.
If you are able, we would love you to join us for a celebration of her life at Southend Crematorium. Hazel loved Southend and had happy memories of time spent there as a child so its seems a fitting location.
Formal funeral attire is not required. Please feel free to wear something bright to reflect Hazel's love of colourful flowers.
We would prefer flowers from close family only. If you would like to lay a single stem on her coffin as you leave, you're welcome to do so. These flowers will go with Hazel.
