Patricia made the most of life: in Swansea and South Wales in her youth, in Sussex when teaching art and courting in the 1950s, as a strong support to her handsome soldier husband Richard (Dick) Waite on postings to Gibraltar, Ireland, Shorncliffe and Germany in the 1960s. These were times enjoyed in the sun as a busy mum to Sarah and Michael, times that continued with regimental friends in the 1970s. She also enjoyed life with her civil service work mates in the 1980s in Folkestone and with her kind neighbours in Densole and the Hythe area, between 1979 - 2021. Holidays in the UK and abroad with family were a chance for her to swim, sun herself, use her languages and catch up with cultural interests and family, including her artistic grand-daughter. Her last years from 2021 were spent in a good care home with frequent visits and outings with Sarah and Michael and family. She shared with Michael and Sarah a love of wildlife and wild landscapes. She passed away gently in her sleep on the 27th January aged 97. A life enjoyed and well lived.
