My wife of 43 years, Val Godwin, passed away on 27 July 2026, aged 67. She was a loving mother to John and Jamie, and a proud grandmother to Olivia, Jake, and Alex.
Val was compassionate, strong, and endlessly loyal. She loved travelling, cooking Sunday dinners, and bringing people together with her warmth.
We will celebrate Val’s life at Darlington Crematorium on 19 August 2026 at 13:00. Please wear something bright to reflect her spirit.
After the service, we will gather at The Mowden Pub, Staindrop Rd, Darlington, DL3 9BE. Everyone is welcome.
Her laughter and kindness made life brighter. She will forever be with me.
