Andrea, Miles and Marina announce Steve's death, a loving husband and father, at home.  After a personal life and career marked by high achievement and hard work towards his own very testing goals, Stephen Anthony Johnson lived with and through Huntington's Disease with stoicism, fortitude and extraordinary resilience, pushing himself to and often beyond his limits to achieve what he could, while never losing interest in the people, themes and pastimes that he loved.  He chose not to acknowledge what he was going through with the determination and grit of a true Yorkshireman and something of his indomitable spirit remained to the end.  While the hole that he has left in our lives cannot be filled, we are all grateful and relieved that he is, at last, at peace.
We very much hope that many of you will come to celebrate his life on June 10th.  We will run a coach to the church, then the crematorium and then back home to the wake.  If you would like to join the coach, please let Erica Collier at Oliver and James, Botley know by email - first come, first served (botley@oliverandjamesfunerals.co.uk). Coffee at Tralee from 10.30, please park on Woodstock Road East but on the pavement - large buses - our coach leaves at 11.30.  As we have yet to finalise all the details, please check back here later, especially for streaming details.
