It is with great sadness that the family of Bernard Howe announce his passing on Saturday 28th December 2024. Bernard passed away peacefully in hospital after a short but bravely fought battle with cancer.

He is survived by Wendy, his wife of 54 years, his children Mark, Louise and Kevin, and all his grandchildren.

Bernard lived in Ramsbottom most of his life and worked at FD Sims until he retired in 2014. He enjoyed his retirement and always kept himself busy, fixing or building something around the house or in the garden, or doing up bikes for the grandchildren!
When he wasn't building or fixing something, he could be seen enjoying a pint or two in the Masons, or quizzing in The Brook. 
He also enjoyed his holidays with Wendy in Portugal and Lanzarote, which they did every year right up until just before be became ill.
He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends, and he will always be remembered as the most generous, selfless person who would do anything for anybody and always had a smile on his face. 
So loved and so missed xxx
