Stephen Rex Laney passed away peacefully on the 28th of December 2024, on his 70th birthday.

 

As a lifelong resident of Harpenden, Stephen actively engaged with his community through many different clubs, outings and activities where he made many friends and enjoyed spending time creating memories. 
 

Beyond his engaging personality, Stephen had a passion for truck spotting, particularly Eddie Stobart trucks. This interest was not just a hobby but it was a real passion that ran deeper than most could understand. 

 
There is no set dress code for the service so please feel free to wear what you would like to wear; although Eddie Stobart colours are of course very welcome (red, white and green). 

 
Donations to Mencap Charity in honour of Stephen welcomed and appreciated. Mencap is a UK charity that supports people with a learning disability; one that Stephen held closely to his heart and enjoyed getting involved in their groups and activities they had to offer. 


Stephen's memory will be cherished by all and his legacy of kindness and joy will live in the hearts of those who knew him.
