It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Kathleen Berg (Kathie), who passed away suddenly at home on 29 January 2026.
Kathie was the much loved wife of Ralph, and a devoted mum of Ralph and Kenneth. Daughter of the late Bill and Grace Monaghan and cherished grandmother. She was also a beloved sister of Wilma, Caryn, and the late Eleanor and Billy.
She will be remembered for her love, kindness, and the special place she held in the hearts of all who knew her.
Kathie was a proud supporter and guiding force to her many "adopted" ethical hacking children over the years, offering encouragement, belief, and a safe place to belong. She took great joy in watching them grow, succeed, and find their own paths.
Kathie was the heart of Bergies, and her memory will live on there always. She will be with us every week in the place she loved so much, remembered through laughter, stories, and the community she built. Kathie will be deeply missed and forever loved.
