It is with much sadness that we announce Rob, loving husband to Tracey, amazing Dad to Mark, Clare & Tomas and Grumps to Karter, lost his fight on 29th April after a fifteen month battle with cancer.
Despite his strength and positivity, he slipped away peacefully in the wonderful care of the nurses and doctors at The Hospoice in the Weald, surrounded by his closest friends & family.
Rob grew up on the Isle of Dogs with his older sister Jan, Mum Emmie & Dad Bill, along with a wider circle of aunts, uncles & cousins, who lived close by. Known by so many as the giver of laughter and fun, he carried this trait through to the very end.
After 45 years at the same bank, he met so many wonderful people, including his first wife Liane, who he was happily married to for over 20 years, & created close friendships that have lasted just as long. As an avid Millwall supporter, he endured many highs & just as many lows; supporting the team all around the country & as a result had so many shared memories of great days out no matter the result.
He will be missed by so many people, but all our lives were richer for having him in it, and we will cherish those memories always.
