Ivan passed away at the John Radcliffe on 29th July 2024.
Ivan, often known as “Tosh” to his friends, passed away aged 100 after living his whole life at “The Rambles” in Wingrave. His only time away from the village was when he joined the army to fight for our country in the 2nd World War, where he was captured by the Germans at Arnhem, and subsequently taken to Stalag 12 as a prisoner of war. We owe our freedom due to Ivan’s generation, and he was truly, one of the last. Ivan was a supporter of Diabetes UK, and it was his wish that any donations collected on his behalf would be donated to this worthy cause.
He will be sadly missed.
