It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Ellen Mulholland.
Ellen passed away peacefully in hospital on Tuesday, 29th September, at the grand age of 92 years.
Ellen will be remembered for her many dedicated years as a publican alongside her late husband, Des, and as a cherished part of her family, bringing love and happiness to those around her.
Ellen was a much-loved Mam to Sharon and Barbara, mother-in-law to Billy and Heath, Grandma to Erin, Olivia, Elliot, Thomas and Piers, and Great-Grandma to Nellie and Albie. She was also a loving sister to Dorothy and Sheila (deceased), and a dear friend to many.
She leaves behind treasured memories and will be remembered with great love and affection. She will be greatly missed by all her family, friends and everyone who knew her.
A Funeral Service will take place for Ellen on Wednesday, 21st October 2026, at 11am at St Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Colwyn Bay, followed by an interment at Bron-y-Nant Cemetery, Colwyn Bay. Following the service, we would love for friends and family to join us from 12.30pm at the Rhos on Sea Cricket Club for food and refreshments, to share memories and raise a glass to bid Ellen a fond farewell.
