In loving memory of Freddie Cording who sadly passed away on Friday 29th December 2023, aged 94 years.
Freddie was a loving Husband to Ann. Married on 23rd August 1958, they shared 54 years of marriage until Ann's passing in 2013. He was a fantastic Father to his two daughters Anne-Marie and Susan, brilliant Grandad to Wendy, Victoria, Peter and Emma, and wonderful Great Grandad to Cianna, Oliver, Olivia and Rosie.
During his life Freddie had many hobbies including Fishing, Cycling, Gardening and making everything from bird feeders to intricate match stick models. He was a valued part of the Scouting community including his time as a Cub Leader (Baloo) at 4th Southgate Scout Group, supporting a range of local events from London Pantomime to Jumble Sales, Church Summer Fetes and numerous fundraising and social events, and regularly attended St John's Church Palmers Green. Later he enjoyed socialising with other scouting friends through the Galleon as well as attending the Ruth Winston Centre and Probus Southgate.
After moving to Hertford Freddie joined local groups and had excellent support from local services including Sense, Crossroads Care, All Sorts Dementia Group, Ware Road Day Centre, Herts Musical Memories and Community Car Services. He maintained an active social life as well as attending Hertford St Andrew Church and Probus Hertford.
As a family we would like to express our thanks to all the above, who's help, support, care and knowledge was given. Many not just 'doing their job' but also individuals who Freddie held in regard as a special friend. To those too who have over the years given their time to transport him to and from events and groups. We know that each one of you made Freddie's day a brighter day for him. So thank you, to you all from the bottom of our hearts.
There are so many memories and a lifetime of achievements, that we hope you will be able to join us in celebrating.
