The family are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Arthur John Wilding, known to everyone as John, who passed away peacefully at Park Manor Care Home on Tuesday 30th June 2026.
To Jane he was John, to his children Dad, and to his six grandchildren Grandad Magic, a nickname they gave him because "magic" was his favourite word to describe anything that brought him happiness.
John will be greatly missed by his long-time partner, Jane, his daughters Jo and Dianne, his son Andrew, his six grandchildren, and by all of his family and friends. Anyone who knew him will remember his wonderful smile, his humility and kindness, and the happiness he brought to those around him. He found joy in the simple things in life and nothing made him happier than spending time with the people he loved most.
Family and friends are warmly invited to join us as we celebrate John's life and give him the farewell he deserves. The service will take place at The Halo Hall, Poole Crematorium, on Thursday 30th July 2026 at 1:00 pm.
