Gordon Cowan, 92, sadly passed away peacefully on 30 July 2026 in St Matthews Care Home, Redbourn. Born in Nelson Lancashire he worked as a Chemical Engineer for 40 years. He loved all sports, in particular he was an avid Burnley fan and a keen supporter of Lancashire and England Cricket.
He will be very deeply missed by his family and friends especially by his daughter Jane and her partner Pete, his son John and wife Liz, and his grandchildren William and Elodie.
His Service of Cremation will take place at 3.30pm on Wednesday, 26 August 2026 at Hemel Hempstead Crematorium. He will be interred in Chilton churchyard alongside his beloved wife, Gill on Saturday, 3rd October 2026 at 2pm.
In lieu of flowers it is requested that charitable donations are made to either Cancer Research UK or to the British Heart Foundation.
