Philip Henry Watts
Philip Henry Watts, aged 96 (1929 – 2025) formerly of Abernant, Llancarfan passed away peacefully at home in Barry on Saturday 30th August. Phil was a devoted husband to his beloved late wife Ruth, reunited on their wedding anniversary. A wonderful Father full of love, kindness and generosity alongside a great sense of humour to Russell and Vivienne, truly adored Gramps to Rhodri and Rhys, much loved father-in-law, uncle, cousin and great friend to so many.
Phil was a man who worked hard, loved life, played and watched sport especially football and cricket, he loved being active and outdoors as much as possible. His love of living in Llancarfan for over 60years was a daily recollection. More recently he shared lifelong memories with friends and family whilst showing everyone what a wonderful sense of humour he had.
Phil was the perfect gentleman who will be missed daily but in our hearts forever.
Rest peacefully.
“I’ve loved, I’ve laughed and cried
I’ve had my fill, my share of losing
And now, as tears subside
I find it all so amusing
To think I did all that
And may I say, not in a shy way
Oh, no, no, no, not me, I did it my way. “
Funeral service 11:30am at St Cadoc's Church, Llancarfan followed by Interment in the Churchyard on Friday 26th September.
