Our lovely Barry/Baz passed away at home in Stevenage on 31st March. His partner Linnie was by his side with their favourite song playing in the background. Barry was only 45.
As many of you will know, Barry was diagnosed with cancer in late 2024 and fought very hard to beat it. Unfortunately the cancer spread and in August 2025 he received the devastating news that it was terminal and he only had a few months left to live. Barry & Linnie had a fantastic last holiday together in September and magically, even with various infections thrown in, Barry celebrated Christmas and even his birthday in February this year.
Barry loved fishing and was able to go quite a few times in recent months. Sometimes catching big fish and sometimes catching just a cold.
Barry was kind, funny, thoughtful and loved by many. He was a loving partner, son, brother, friend and a very fun uncle. Barry will be missed so much.
Thank you to everyone who has supported Anita, Linnie & Rick and to those of you who are able to attend on 23rd April. Thank you for all donations to MacMillan Cancer Support who provided Barry's treatment and although it did not save him, it gave us more time together.
