Purchasing a funeral plan is a simple process which can be completed online or over the phone.

How much does a funeral plan cost?
Dignity Funeral Plans range in cost but start from just £2,995 or £20.94 a month if you choose to pay by instalments*. Our guide will help you compare funeral plans and their prices easily, so that you can be sure you have all the information you need to make your purchase.
Are funeral plans good value?

Can I choose either a cremation or burial funeral plan?
Most funeral plans cover either a burial or cremation and Dignity is no different. All Dignity's Funerals Plans can be used for either a cremation or a burial, but don't worry if you're not certain which type of funeral you'd prefer right now you can decide this at a later date.

Who are the Funeral Planning Authority?
The Funeral Plan Authority (FPA) is the regulatory body for prepaid funeral plans in the UK. All funeral plan providers who are registered with the FPA must follow a strict set of Rules and a Code of practice and this helps ensure standards are met across the industry.
Dignity is proud to be a member of the FPA. You should make sure any provider you're considering purchasing a funeral plan from is a member of the FPA.
I have life insurance, can I use this for my funeral?
Life insurance can be used to cover the cost of your funeral but this method can often be unreliable. It is important to remember that with funeral costs rising annually^, life insurance policies may struggle to cover all the costs associated with your funeral.
A funeral plan from Dignity will cover all the costs of the funeral so there will be no more to pay towards the services included in your plan. You can read more about the difference between funeral plans and life insurance in our guide here.

*The instalment amount shown is for a plan being paid over a maximum term of 25 years. Other instalment terms are available provided that all payments are completed by the 85th birthday of the eldest person named on the plan. There will be an extra charge if you spread the cost over more than 12 months.
^The £100 discount offer applies to all Dignity Funeral Plans purchased between 10 March and 11 May 2021. For example, a Diamond plan purchased by lump sum will be discounted from £4,195 to £4,095, or from £349.58 to £341.25 if you choose to pay over 12 months. Instalment payments over a period greater than 12 months will also be discounted.
