What does a Dignity funeral director do?

Here at Simplicity Funeral Directors, we are often asked what our funeral directors do, or, what does a typical day look like for a funeral director?
We support the family ...
At Simplicity Funeral Directors, at least one Funeral Director always remains on call outside of the normal opening hours. This means that someone will always be available to take your call, 24 hours a day.

Although care for the departed is a critical feature of the role, the support we provide for those left behind is of equal importance. All of our funeral directors have a duty of care, part of which is to reassure the family and help ease their burden. Those experiencing grief and loss will have choices to make when planning the funeral, and we aim to guide them in a way that makes this process as easy as possible.
Supporting family members at a funeral service
To ensure our funeral services reflect the wishes of the deceased, our funeral directors always take the time to understand who they were and what they meant to those closest to them. They also provide guidance on the administrative side of bereavement, ensuring that families have all of the information they need to complete the required paperwork correctly and on time.

The care provided by our funeral directors is universal, meaning every single person receives the same attentive treatment as part of our 'care of the deceased' process.

A team including funeral arrangers, embalmers and operatives perform their duties to the highest standards, from the moment of collection through to the funeral service and final goodbye. It is important to us that we ensure everyone is looked after in the most sensitive and respectful way possible.

Simplicity Funeral Directors are thankful to the community here in Glasgow for choosing us to support them during their time of need. That's why we like to show our gratitude to the local community.

From working with local care homes to training the clergy in funeral procedure and advising other public bodies on care for the deceased and bereaved, we always give back to the community that we're proud to serve.
