It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Mari Wynne Powell who passed away peacefully on 1st May 2024 aged 85.
Mari was the former head of Frideswide CofE middle school Oxford. Much loved wife of the late Dr Martin Powell, and latterly partner of Dr Gordon Screaton. Beloved mother of Kate and Saffron, grandmother of Lizzie, Imogen, Hermione, Jacob and Jemima, great-grandmother of Morgan and Marcel. Well loved member of the Screaton family. Inspiring friend and teacher to many.
