ROBERTS – Caryl Ann Howard
Born 18th June 1947, passed away peacefully on 1st May 2026.
Much loved mother of Michael and Alexandra, devoted Granny to three treasured grandchildren, and dearly beloved wife of the late Martin. Caryl’s warmth and spirit touched everyone who knew her.
Caryl enjoyed an early career as a botanist before later working as a librarian, sharing her love of knowledge and nature with all around her.
The funeral service will be held at St Alban's Church, Tattenhall, on 27th May 2026 at 12.30, followed by a wake at Rowton Hall Hotel to celebrate Caryl’s remarkable life. A private committal will be held at Chester Crematorium the following day.
Caryl had a lifelong love of horses and any donations can be made to World Horse Welfare via the JustGiving link above. This charity held a special place in Caryl’s heart, as it was where one of her horses was rehomed from.
Caryl will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
