We are sad to share the news that Roger passed away on 1st June 2024 at the Royal United Hospital in Bath, aged 83 years.  He will be lovingly remembered by daughter Hannah, son Adam, and all who knew him.

We warmly welcome family and friends to the funeral service which will be held in the Valley Chapel at Haycombe Crematorium, Whiteway Road, Bath, BA2 2RQ at 10am on Friday 21st June.  This will be followed by tea/coffee and cake at the 3 Cafe Kitchen, Three Ways School, 180 Frome Road, Odd Down, Bath, BA2 5RF (between Sainsbury's and Tesco Express).

Roger was a kind, gentle and unassuming man; always thinking of others before himself.  As well as being a devoted son, brother, husband, dad, uncle and godparent, he also touched many other lives, most notably through his church, school and musical activities.  He spent the last 16 months of his life at the Rush Hill Mews Care Home where he discovered a new zest for life.  We wish to thank all the staff for the wonderful care Roger received during his time there.

Donations in memory of Roger are being kindly received for the Peggy Dodd Centre, who provide support for people who live with dementia and those who care for them.  Their work and support enables people to stay longer in their own homes, and provides carers with a vital break to have time to themselves.  Their support to Roger and the family was very much appreciated.
