The family are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Paul Hayward, who died peacefully on Tuesday 2nd September 2025 at Great Oaks Care Home in Bournemouth, after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.

Paul was a loving and devoted father to his son Ashton. He will be so greatly missed by his family and by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

A service to celebrate Paul’s life will take place at Bournemouth West Chapel, Strouden Avenue, at 11:30am.

In keeping with Paul’s wishes, the family kindly ask for donations to a cancer charity in lieu of flowers. To honour him, the family have chosen Pancreatic Cancer UK as the charity for those who would like to make a donation in his memory

Donations in memory of Paul can be sent by following the above link to Pancreatic Cancer UK.

Ashton and Emma would also like to invite those attending, who feel comfortable, to wear a football shirt in Paul’s honour. This will be a fitting tribute to his lifelong passion for football and, in particular, his love for AFC Bournemouth. For those who prefer, wearing the club’s colours of red and black would also be a wonderful way to celebrate Paul’s life.

The family thank you for joining them in remembering Paul with love, respect, and joy for the life he lived.
