It is with sadness that we share the news that Colin Warley passed away at home on 3 June 2024. Colin was a private person but would always offer to help whenever someone needed it. He was kind and generous yet humble despite his successes in life. Everyone I have spoken to has described how they have loved the many conversations they shared over the many years they knew him.
Colin did not like fuss and would rather everyone else took the attention so he could drift into the background. His ideas of funerals on the very brief times it was mentioned was to say he just wanted something a simple as possible.
We have also decided to ask for donations to charity rather than flowers, I am sure that he would prefer that people offered to help others in need rather than spending any money on him.
Colin didn’t really talk about charities he supported such was his nature so we have decided to raise funds for a charity that is doing great work in finding ways to stop people dying far too soon from heart related problems, so at least we can try and create something good from a sad situation.
We invite you to contribute in memory of Colin to the British Heart Foundation. We have no target and every donation would be incredibly generous but please don’t feel like you have to. Your donation will honour Colin’s legacy while at the same time also supporting a very good cause.
