It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of the late Basil Sylvester Pryce on the 3rd of September at the Bradford Royal Infirmary. He was also known to many as Carl or Carlos.
Basil's funeral service will take place on Friday 10th October at 10:00am at D Walsh & Sons Chapel, 700A Manchester Road, BD5 7QH followed by the Committal at Scholemoor Cemetery @ 12:00 noon.
Refreshments will be at Lyceum Bar and Grill, Bradford lane, BD3 8LW from 2:30pm onwards.
Family flowers only please, however if you wish to make a donation in the memory of Basil it will be for the benefit of Idle Spiritualist Church.
Basil was born in Westmoreland, Jamaica to Lynford and Iramay Pryce before moving to Bradford as a young man where he settled becoming a part of a large community surrounded by family and friends.
Basil's main interests were cooking, listening to his beloved reggae music and spending time with family and friends at every possible opportunity.
Basil was a doting Father to cherished Daughter Lamara Pryce.
Basil is leaving behind his brothers Lee, Oba, Oliver, Paul, his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in the UK and abroad. He will be reunited with his siblings the late Desmond, Mikey Roots and Indika.
Basil was a very sociable man who was full of character. Basil will be greatly missed, a man who loved and was loved by all.
