We sadly announce the peaceful passing of Josephine aged 88 years, on the 4th February 2026. She was a devoted Mum, Grandma, sister, cousin and friend and was surrounded at home by her family. Josephine was born in Greenock, Scotland to Benjamin and Emily Gorry (nee McLeod) before moving to the Nottinghamshire area in the late 1970's.
Josephine joined the Womens Royal Army Corp as an Ambulance Driver learning basic meachanics. She laterally worked worked as an Auxilliary Nurse at Greenock Royal Infirmary and when she moved to Nottingham, she became Nottingham's first Postwoman Driver.
Josephine's warmth, openness and keen sense of humour will be missed by all who knew her.
