Rita sadly passed away at The Royal United Hospital, Bath, aged 92 years (+ 11 months and a week) after a short illness.
She lived a very long, healthy, happy and fulfilled life and the time has now come to celebrate that as her friends and family.
After a long career as a nursing Sister, she had many active years of retirement until her husband John passed away a few months short of their 60th wedding anniversary, after which she spent many a happy hour in Paul & Karen's sweet shop entertaining the locals and visitors making many fine friends along the way.
For those lucky enough to have known her, you will understand her zest for life and relentless can do character which we hope you will remember fondly.
Rita was a colourful character, and we ask you to reflect this by wearing a splash of something bright and cheerful on the day when we hope you will join us to celebrate a life well lived and to bid her safe travel on her journey to be reunited with John and their daughter Pat.
