Doreen Roy of Galmington, Taunton, passed peacefully at Frethey House Nursing Home, Bishops Hull, Taunton in the early hours of Sunday 7th December, aged 87.
This followed a short brave battle with Cancer.
Widow of the late Jim Roy, missed dearly by her only Son Andrew & his partner Peter, her Brother Fred, Nieces Lynn, Sally & Sue, Nephew Steven and her wider family in Essex and Scotland.
Doreen made many good close friends over the years. She is fondly remembered by Trull Playgroup where she assisted in the running, and Trull CEVA Primary School where she was the reception classroom assistant for 16 years.
Doreen and Jim attended the NALGO club for many years and once widowed Doreen was also a regular member of the Galmington Ladies Circle.
Everyone who knew Doreen is welcome and encouraged to attend a celebration of her life.
A service to celebrate Doreen’s life will be held at Taunton Crematorium
Thursday 15th January at 12 Noon.

Family flowers only, donations in lieu of flowers are being greatly received in Doreen’s memory for the
Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance Charity a cause always close to her heart.
Donations may be left at the service or through this notice
