Nigel K Ford Funeral Directors, Taunton
About our Taunton funeral home
We will provide a fitting and sensitively-handled tribute to your loved one’s memory, not only taking care of the funeral arrangements, but also offering reassurance, helping to ease any concerns you may have.
Our team of funeral directors has been serving North Town and the surrounding areas of Taunton since 1996 and our extensive experience means we are able to ensure your loved one receives exactly the kind of send off you want for them. Whether that is a religious or a humanist funeral, something traditional or a completely unique ceremony, you can rest assured that it will be a personal occasion imbued with love.
Our North Town funeral home can be found on Station Road, at the corner of Belvedere Road, and from this central location we are able to provide funeral care to the whole of Taunton. Our funeral directors also support the neighbouring communities, including those in Bishop’s Lydeard, Cotford St Luke, Norton Fitzwarren and Wellington.
We have disabled access and if you have difficulty making it here, it is no trouble for us to visit you at home.
You can speak to one of our caring funeral advisors 24 hours of the day, 365 days of the year. Give us a call, we are here for you.

Frequently asked questions
When someone dies, the first steps will depend on how and where the person passed away. Our step-by-step guides will walk you through the practical steps. For additional support and personal advice, please get in touch with us.
You don't have to make an appointment at our funeral homes. However, doing so will ensure that someone can be available to cater to your needs. When arranging a funeral, our Funeral Directors are happy to visit you in your own home, if required.
Third party funeral costs are additional charges which we will manage for you and attach to your single invoice. Get in touch with us to confirm costs and plan a funeral to fit your budget.
If you choose to arrange the funeral with us, you will be given the option of a complimentary Funeral Notice. We will set it up for you using the details discussed during the arrangements. All we need is an email address.
Dignity Funeral Plans let you pay for your funeral in advance and at today's price. It's a way of taking control of the unexpected, setting out the arrangements and limiting the costs by paying for the services included in the funeral plan upfront.
