It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ann Walker, who died peacefully on 8th July 2025, aged 79.
A beloved mum, grandma and friend, she fought a courageous battle with cancer for over five years with unwavering strength and dignity. Known for her sharp wit, kind heart, and boundless love for her family, she leaves behind a legacy of resilience, warmth, and generosity.
She spent her final weeks in her happy place — at her cherished caravan in Skegness — surrounded by sunshine and the friends she loved dearly.
Funeral service to take place on Friday 25th July at 3:30pm at Barnsley Crematorium, followed by a celebration of her life at Grimethorpe Working Men’s Club, Clifton House, 4 Brierley Road, Grimethorpe, Barnsley, S72 7EJ.
Family flowers only, please. Donations in her memory may be made to Cancer Research UK.
