Deepo (Dee) was the heart of her family, a loving wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, caring sister and a dear friend to so many whose lives she touched throughout her seventy-four wonderful years.
Born in the Punjab and raised in Wolverhampton, she spent her entire adult life in the town she loved, building a legacy of kindness, strength and compassion. For many years, she dedicated herself to caring for others as a nurse, a profession that perfectly reflected her warm and selfless nature. She gave comfort to countless people during their times of need and was admired for her gentle heart and unwavering dedication.
Life brought its challenges, contracting an incredibly rare degenerative auto-immune illness at the age of forty-five. Despite this her spirit never faded, even when reliant on an electric wheelchair she didn't allow the illness to define her. She continued to live life to the fullest with courage, humour, and determination. Her home remained a place filled with love, warmth, laughter and the comforting presence that only she could provide. No matter what she faced personally, her priority was always her family.
One of the greatest heartbreaks of her life was the loss of her beloved son to cancer ten years ago, a sorrow she carried with immense strength and dignity. Through this difficult chapter, she was lovingly supported by her devoted daughter and son-in-law, whose care, loyalty and constant presence brought her comfort and strength in the years that followed.
She will be remembered for her resilience, her generosity and the unconditional love she gave so freely. To her grandchildren, she was a guiding light and a source of endless affection. To her friends, she was loyal, thoughtful, and always ready with a smile, advice, or a listening ear. To her family, she was everything.
Though she is no longer with us, her love and the memories she created will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew her. Her strength, kindness, and devotion to her family will continue to inspire generations to come.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always and she always said each night before bedtime - "Good night, god bless, sweet dreams I love you"
