It is with great sadness that we announce that Hilda Lilian Nethercott passed away peacefully, on the 9th of August at Claremont Court, a month before her 95th birthday.
A resident of Guildford for most of her life where she taught needlework at George Abbot school for a number of years. She was a keen practitioner of embroidery and quilt making and was involved in a number of other hobbies. Hilda was a lifelong churchgoer, her faith playing an important part of her life.
She will be sadly missed by all her loving friends and family. We hope you are able to help us celebrate her life on 5th September. Hilda will be departing from Drop-in and going onto Guildford Crematorium for a 12pm service. We will be returning to the Church of the Holy Spirit, Burpham GU4 7HW, afterwards, you are all very welcome to join us.
