Patricia Jean Brandon (nee Wood) was born on Wednesday 13th April 1938 and grew up in Verulam Avenue, Walthamstow, NE London. 

Patricia did not have an easy childhood. As a young girl, she would hear her next door neighbours playing the piano and singing hymns. At the age of sixteen, they invited her to South Grove Gospel Hall where she came to faith in Jesus and also met her future husband, John.

In her early career, Patricia worked as a secretary for Biro near Oxford Circus and later worked as a Company Director for the family business. John and Patricia married on 21st June 1958 and their first daughter Susan (m. Richard) was born the following year. Andrea (m. Warren) followed a few years later and then Sarah (m. Philip) and Nicola (m. Karl).

Patricia was a devoted Mother and Grandmother. She had fourteen grandchildren; Edward, Victoria, Matthew, Chelsea, Alexandra,  Lydia,, Ben, Keziah, Anna, Jonny, Josiah, Abigail, Esther and Charlie. She also had eleven great grandchildren; Tyler, Charlie, Jack, Caden, Brandon, Maximus, Andrew, Cole, Emma, Felicity and Jack. 

Patricia was a warm, kind person deeply loved by many. She sent birthday cards to everyone she knew for many years and had an extensive daily prayer list. Her own experiences gave her great empathy for those suffering and she was often described as a gentle, quiet and “classy” lady. Patricia enjoyed politics, travel and her beloved family. Her faith brought her great comfort, joy and peace. 

Patricia will be greatly missed but we know she is still very much alive, having transferred from the kingdom of earth to the kingdom of heaven. She is no longer suffering and is with her Lord, and her husband John, whom she missed terribly for 23 years. She is reunited with those she loved who went before. 

Patricia died at 12:12pm on 12th January 2026 surrounded by her four daughters.
