Rhoda sadly passed away peacefully and comfortably at home, aged 111 years, after an incredible life. Cherished great-grandmother, grandmother, mother and aunt, she kept us laughing right up until the end. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her and whose lives she touched.
Rhoda’s life was characterised by unconditional love, kindness and dedication to her family. She was the eldest of six siblings and her passing marks the end of that precious generation. After more than 40 years apart, she now rejoins her beloved husband Stan in eternal peace.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made to Leukaemia UK, a charity whose mission is to find and fund life-changing research. This cause would be close to Rhoda’s heart since she nursed her youngest brother Andy for many years until he lost his own battle against leukaemia at a young age.
