Stephen Paul Ackroyd aka “Acker.”
Sadly passed away on the 12th July 2025 at the age of 74.
He passed peacefully of a broken heart and only a short period following the passing of his beloved Rachel.
He was the son of the late Cecil and Doris, father to Claire, Sarah and Step-son Jamie, and brother to the late Jacqueline and Norman.
He will be sadly missed by all who knew him, his family & friends and his dog Buster.
The funeral service will take place at 10:30am Friday 8th August 2025 at Shay Grange Crematorium, Long Lane, Shipley, BD9 6ST.
The funeral procession will leave from his home; 21 Shetcliffe Lane, BD4 9RH, at approximately 9:30am and will also call via Tong Liberal Club for one last beer and wave goodbye on his way to the crematorium.
A wake to celebrate Acker's life will follow the service at Tong Liberal Club, 369 Tong Street, BD4 9RR.
All welcome to come and say a final farewell.
Family flowers only please and donations will be gratefully accepted on behalf of PDSA, Tong Street for his love of dogs, especially his Buster.
