Elli Jensen (1933-2024) Elli was born in Germany and moved to England in the early 1950s to work as a nanny and improve her English. Living first in Wiltshire and then in Golant, Elli met Morris Jensen at a dance at The Armoury in Fowey and they were married in September 1957. Morris and Elli had three sons, Michael, Hans and Julian as well as seven grandchildren and one great grandson. Elli lived in Fowey for the rest of her life and considered herself to be an adopted Fowey resident. She loved the town, particularly Regatta Week and spent many happy days watching the sailing races from Hanson’s Drive. Elli was a loyal member of the Fowey Parish Church congregation and hugely enjoyed travelling and classical music. She passed away at Penrice House in St Austell at the age of 90. The funeral service will be held at Fowey Parish Church at 1pm on Tuesday 16th April 2024. All are welcome. Family flowers only, but donations to the British Heart Foundation would be appreciated.
