It is with unimaginable sadness that the family of Mrs Rosemary Jean Arrowsmith  (Rose) announce her passing on 14th May 2024 at the age of 73.

Rose will be loved and missed dearly by all that knew her, including her daughters Carole, Sue and Marion; grandchildren Gary, Em, Chris and Abbie; sisters Wendy, Barb and Marti, and son-in-law Dave who she lovingly referred to as “my son”. She was also an aunt, great aunt, niece, cousin, neighbour and friend to all. We take great comfort in knowing that she is now reunited with her husband (and love of her life) Dave, daughter Jacqueline, grandchildren Josh and Jessie, siblings, mother Emily and father Jack.

The funeral service is being held at Streetly Crematorium at 3pm, and there will be a family gathering at the White House Pub in Aldridge afterwards.

Rose made it very clear that she wanted everyone to be comfortable in what they wore for her day and, if that means wearing colourful clothes, then please feel free to do so.

If you wish to make a donation in lieu of flowers, please feel free to do so for any of the following charities: Mind UK, Cancer Research UK, Epilepsy UK or the British Heart Foundation.

 Across the Veil

 Across the Veil,

just beyond the stars,

lies a land that heals all ails

and scars.

The ones she loved and lost

called her spirit to roam,

and no sooner than she crossed

the veil, she was home.

Her soulmate waited for three years

with his arms and heart open –

no more Wednesday evening tears,

just unending devotion,

an avalanche of emotion.

 She’s missed beyond measure

and to have had her for so long

is the most valuable treasure.
Her laughter is an echo of the sweetest song,
her smile brighter than the starriest skies.

 Across the Veil, she thrives
on love and heaven-song.
