We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Carl Denver Morgan.
Carl lived a simple yet fulfilled life.
On March 14th 2025, Carl was diagnosed with 'non-Hodgkins diffuse large B-cell lymphoma triple hit' - an aggressive form of cancer, which resulted in his rapid deterioration. Despite the aggression of this cancer, Carl faught an incredible battle for his wife and children, who are immensely proud of him.
In Carl's final few weeks at home, where he passed away, he expressed that he wanted to ensure that the people that cared for him would be recognised and thanked for their service and support which they gave to Carl, as well as his wife and three children. Firstly, thank you to the nurses in the Deansly ward at New Cross Hospital who cared for Carl when he was away from home for treatment - advising, assisting and catering for Carl to prepare him for his treatments in hospital as well as trying to keep a smile on his face in unfamiliar surroundings. Secondly, thank you to the district nurses and Compton Care for working together in Carl's final weeks at home to ensure Carl was medicated to manage his physical and emotional health right up to the very end, as well as lending their time to listen to the family's concerns and wishes, ultimately supporting the entire family.
